Grip training doesn’t have to be boring. These nasty steel bars will make sure of that! Work your way up the 6″ progression below. The bars are rated by the poundage of force required to bend them, with the actual specs in parentheses next to it. The lower the poundage, the easier the bend.
120 LBS OF FORCE TO BEND (3/16″ x 6″)
190 LBS OF FORCE TO BEND (7/32″ x 6″)
270 LBS OF FORCE TO BEND (1/4″ x 6″)
380 LBS OF FORCE TO BEND (9/32″ x 6″)
520 LBS OF FORCE TO BEND (5/16″ x 6″)
700 LBS OF FORCE TO BEND (11/32 x 6″)
950 LBS OF FORCE TO BEND (3/8″ x 6″)
This is a nice blend of the awful crush of the short 5″ bars, with the easy kink of the longer 7″ stuff. It’s a good “middle ground” in the short steel bending game. If you want to stay a well-rounded bender, don’t let this ladder go by the wayside – these puppies are tough!
